How to change black background for all apps

Hope you must have got boared of your default Black Android Bacgrounds of almost all system application UIs. And If you really fed up of it...then let's change it by making a few small edits to framework-res.apk/res/values/styles.xml
This gonna affect MOST of the Black Background you see in Android (e.g. Settings, Contacts, Mms, Installer etc.)
It would be with the exception of certain apps that use their own backgrounds.

Difficulty Level : Medium
HOW TO DO IT ???

1. Decompile framework-res.apk
[and please Dont ask me How to Decompile & Recompile an APK find a separate post on the same]
2. Navigate to res/values and open styles.xml
3. Locate
4. Replace

@color/background_dark

with
Code: [Select]

@color/transparent
5. Replace

@drawable/screen_background_dark

with
Code: [Select]

@drawable/mybackground
6. Locate
7. Replace

@color/black

with
Code: [Select]

@color/transparent
8. Replace

@color/black

with
Code: [Select]

@drawable/mybackground
9.
For MDPI Devices:
Create a .png with resolution 320x480 as you like, rename it as mybackground.png and place it in drawable-mdpi folder
or
For HDPI Devices: Create a .png with resolution 480x800 as you like, rename it as mybackground.png and place it in drawable-mdpi folder
10. Recompile framework-res.apk and Push it using Adb or using some Flashable Zip.
Enjoy Your New Android Background!!!

Note: Always create a backup of your Application and ROM before Making any modifications!!!

Credits: Who discovered the Method... and only Google knows it.... :D :D :D

Yes !!! Background are Always Awesome, However replacing a Color with a Picture...that What we are doing here.....So once loded with this Thing you may find that sometimes Apps may load slightly slower...
HERE ARE SOME BGs that you may Like (ONLY FOR MDPI DEVICES 320x480pxl)
Save the .jpg-->Open in Paint -->and Save As .PNG-->Done : Ready to USE Backgrounds !!!

I created then from by downloading PICs. Resized and converted into .PNG

between they all were MDPI and here the Tutorial is for All Devices, People will get a distorted background if they USE MDPI .png in a HDPI device.

Anyways MDPI BGs added... for MDPI users...

Not actually...
320x480 can be used as Static wallpapers and will shine on full screen...However one must have to set Wallpaper Style as STATIC. Other wise it will distort...or get Fade..

Well shortly updating 640x480 Wallsize of all the sme PICS....
Violet has all Vintage OPTIONS :P :P :P

violet i couldn't find values folder :-\

To get that Values folder, Dear You have to decompile the APK. Extracting an apk wont give you decompiled resources like Values and few other folders in res.

Read the tutorial once again and use apktool. Must upload framework-res.apk before you start decompiling it...
